West Australian Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA) is the state representative body for the West Australian mountain bike community.

A volunteer organisation, WAMBA works collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify, develop and sustain mountain bike experiences in Western Australia.

And also acts as a resource for clubs looking for help on trail advocacy and grants, and co-ordinates the racing calendar.

The Perth & Peel Master Plan is currently being reviewed by our stakeholders, and Common Ground Trails are in the process of preparing the document ready for public consultation this winter.

As part of the mountain bike community, you can contribute towards the final Master Plan document by providing some of your mountain bike photographs.

List of photos needed for the report: 

  •  Landscape/ scenic view photos in the Perth Hills, Dwellingup, Wungong Regional Park, Jarrahdale, Walyunga National Park, Yanchep National Park.
  • Landscape/ scenic view photos of regional areas (like coastline at Mandurah, Yalgorup area, City Beach/ Bold Park).
  • Cafes and shops with mountain bikes out front.
  • People riding trails:
    • Families looking at trail head signs and maps, planning their ride on the trail 
    • Kids 
    • Men/ women
    • Guided tours
    • Shuttles 
    • Racing/ race line photos/ commissaires and marshals doing official duties, etc.
  • Mountain bikers maintaining trails/ meeting with land managers. 
  • Community photos (e.g. social events/ juniors ride/ BBQ, etc).
  • Trails that are visually appealing and shows off native flora (e.g. during wildflower season).

Specifications: 

  • High resolution ( min of 8 mega pixels ) professional quality photos.

Photographers will be acknowledged as follows: 

  • Photographer credit in title page.
  • Photographer credit alongside photo in document.
